Brief Directions to Sand School:

From Chiverton Roundabout take the St Agnes turnoff (at the mini roundabout follow signs for St Agnes)
Continue 1.5 miles exactly and at the cross roads take a right turn signposted Goonbell
Continue for 0.8 miles (entering the village of St Agnes) and take the 2nd right into “Goonbell”
Continue for 0.3 miles and take the left fork along the unmade bumpy road to Goonbell Riding School
Turn right into the car park.

Detailed Directions:

From Chiverton Roundabout take the St Agnes turnoff signposted Services + St Agnes B3277.
At the small roundabout take the third exit signposted St Agnes B3277
Continue along this road (past the Chiverton Arms pub and Teagle Machinery) for exactly 1.5 miles until you reach a crossroads (you do not have to give way at the crossroads as you are on the main road so keep an eye out for it)
Turn right here, signposted Goonown + Goonbell.
Continue for 0.7 miles and you will reach a 30mph speed limit zone and enter the village of St Agnes.
You need to take the second right hand turning (the first one is signposted Silverwell and Wheal Butson). The second right is just before a red phone box. The street sign for the road is “Goonbell”.
Continue a very short way for just 0.3 miles and the main road will start to sweep right. You need to take the left hand fork down an unmade bumpy road (there is usually a blue truck parked on the left hand side here where you need to turn!)
After you have turned down the lane you will see a sign that says “Goonbell Riding Centre Car Park” you need to turn right here.

Please note, once you have followed the directions above...if the road changes back to national speed limit you have driven too far (the turning to the sand school is JUST BEFORE the road changes to national speed limit)

The sand school is located out of the car park, past the barns and stables and through the large grey doors.  Please bring a torch with you as it can be very dark getting to and from your car at this time of year.
